Christine teaches a style of yoga that encourages good alignment and she offers options in poses to suit different levels and stages of practice. Her intermediate class explores some preparatory poses for inversions, arm balances and back bend poses.
“I also love teaching restorative classes, which offer any level of practitioner the chance to benefit from a very subtle, but extremely powerful form of yoga that offers an opportunity to really connect back to oneself with the breath and pausing for a moment,” says Christine who has attended many workshops with renowned teachers. “It’s always rewarding to extend someone’s practise beyond what they thought was possible, while encouraging someone to stay true and accepting of what they are capable of on the day.”
Christine says yoga helps her seek clarity, perspective, strength and quietness depending on what life is calling for. “It keeps my feet on the ground and reminds me to navigate the day with an open, compassionate, heart and mind,” she says. “I love how TYC supports all styles of yoga – the freedom to do that is really unique.”
